Elmo Rietschle has a long history of application know-how and precise knowledge of industrial processes when it comes to vacuum and pressure. They design and manufacture a range of dry running and oil lubricated pumps which cover a wide performance range.
The V Series of industry-leading vane pumps are robust and economical machines that rely on proven vane technology to deliver high performance and efficiency at low costs. The dry running models are eco-friendly and are used for industrial vacuum, pressure, and combine pressure and vacuum applications. Whist the oil-lubricated machines are time-tested and are widely used across the industry for generating reliable vacuum.
Vane pump operating principle
Rotary vane pumps operate using positive displacement technology. Pressure is increased via volume reduction. A circular rotor is housed in a cylindrical casing and is positioned eccentrically. As the rotor begins to turn, the blades, often called vanes, are thrown out due to centrifugal force. This creates small vane chambers between the two blades. Air enters through the inlet port and into a vane chamber, as it rotates the volume is forced smaller and smaller, thus compressing the air and increasing the pressure.
Dry running rotary vane pumps
The range of environmentally friendly dry running vane pumps from Elmo Rietschle has a wide performance range, making them suited to a broad range of applications. Stand-out design features include maximised cooling air pathways, heat resistant materials, sound reduction covers, and relief valves.
Lubricated rotary vane pumps
Elmo Rietschle oil-lubricated rotary vane pumps offer the largest range of oil flooded vacuum pumps for industrial coarse and fine vacuum operation on the market. Key design features include compact pumps with overhung bearing design, medium ranges with rotor supported on both sides and flexible coupling, and large pumps with rotors supporting on both sides.
