Liquid ring vacuum pumps are designed to handle extreme conditions which can occur in wet and humid industrial processes. This ultimately leads to limescale or abrasion, hence damaging the pump and reducing its performance potential overtime. Liquid ring pumps from Elmo Rietschle have been designed with high quality materials such as stainless steel and ceramics to guard against damage from wet processes and to ensure the utmost reliability. The durable design ensures constant operating characteristics for years to come, protecting your investment and your business.
Operating Principle
Liquid ring technologies rely on a positive displacement principle to provide process vacuum for a variety of industries. They offer a simple yet robust design that has no contacting parts, meaning they are long-lasting and require little maintenance. Gas is drawn into the pump through an inlet port where it becomes trapped in the compression chambers formed by the impeller vanes and the liquid ring. The reduction in volume caused by the impeller rotation compresses the gas while the heat of compression is dissipated into the seal liquid. Compressed gas may contain residual water discharge which can be removed from the gas stream using a separator.
Benefits of Liquid Ring Pumps:
Reliable and economical
The L-Series of pumps are designed to be long lasting and are more reliable than modular pumps, considerably reducing your operating costs.
Safe and resilient
When faced with humid processes, the stainless steel shafts of the pump design help to increase corrosion resistance. This means they can work safely and reliably, even in the most extreme conditions.
No more limescale
The unique ceramic internal coating of the L-Series pump casings means that the pumps will not calcify due to fluid deposits. The special coating has been developed by Elmo Rietschle, in cooperation with other industry experts. This means that our customers can benefit from years of optimal performance with incredibly low maintenance costs.
For use worldwide
The L-Series monoblock pumps feature voltage range motors for 50 and 60 Hz in protection class IP55 (insulation class F) and are certified UL 1450 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 68-09. They can be used all over the world and are available in many sizes.
